Laminex Decorated MDF and Particleboard
Decorated board is a prefinished panel used for cabinetry, internal panels, shelving, furniture and other interior joinery. Laminex offers decorated MDF and decorated particleboard. MDF and particleboard are different substrates, so the right choice depends on the component, fixing method, machining, span and finished edge required.
Decorated MDF is intended for interior joinery and provides a finished decorative face. Decorated particleboard is a practical option for interior cabinetry, shelving, office furniture and wall-panel applications. Matching edging is available for parts of the range, but compatibility must be checked against the chosen décor, finish and board specification.

Laminex Laminate (HPL)
High-pressure laminate, often shortened to HPL, is a thin decorative surface bonded to a suitable substrate. It is commonly considered for benchtops, cabinetry faces, doors, desks, shelving, furniture and selected wall applications. It differs from decorated board, which is supplied as a finished panel with a decorative surface already applied.
Colour and finish are only part of the selection. The laminate grade, substrate, adhesive, edge detail and fabrication method must suit the application. Postforming is available only in compatible products and finishes, so formed edges should be specified before material is ordered.

Compact laminate is a self-supporting panel designed for applications that need a durable, moisture-resistant material.
The Laminex range contains four compact laminate categories:
Compact Laminate – Multipurpose. A general compact-laminate category for suitable interior joinery and surface applications.
Compact Laminate – Alfresco. A purpose-specific option for suitable outdoor applications.
Compact Laminate – Laboratory. A specialist category for laboratory environments.
Compact Laminate – XR Grade. A specialist grade.
