What is Quantum Porcelain?
Quantum Porcelain is porcelain stoneware manufactured as a large-format surface sheet. Its 3200 x 1600 mm sheet size provides a broad design field for benchtops, splashbacks, cladding and feature surfaces.
The surface does not require sealing and WK describes it as non-porous, UV stable, non-combustible and resistant to stains, mould, abrasion, chemicals, scratches and chips. These properties support demanding residential and commercial applications, but the material is not damage-proof.

Full-body designs. Selected colours in the range are classed as full body, this is where the design continues through the slab body rather than existing only as a surface print.
Quantum Porcelain can be used across multiple applications including:
- Kitchen benchtops and island benches
- Splashbacks and wall panels
- Indoor and outdoor cladding
- flooring and wet areas
- Fireplace surrounds and alfresco BBQ areas
Suitability will always depend on the full project design, substrate, support, fixing system, joint layout, edge detail and exposure.
Quantum Porcelain Features
Quantum Porcelain offers a high range of features
- No sealing required: routine ownership does not include periodic resealing.
- Non-porous surface: helps simplify cleaning and limits liquid absorption when the surface is correctly fabricated and installed.
- UV stable and suitable outdoors: supports coordinated interior and exterior design where the complete installation is suitable.
- Heat and flame suitability: porcelain can be used near heat sources, subject to the appliance, fireplace and installation requirements.
- Scratch, chip, abrasion, chemical, stain and mould resistance: useful for high-use surfaces, while still requiring cutting boards, trivets and sensible care.
- Selected book match and full-body options: provide more control over statement veining and visible edges.
