Designerform Doors FAQs

Are Designerform thermolaminated doors custom made?

Yes. The doors and panels are made to order using the dimensions, profile and decorative specification confirmed for the project. Technical limits and order requirements still apply.

No. Designerform specifically notes that not all profiles are available in Gloss, and other profile/finish limitations may apply. Confirm the complete combination before ordering.

No. The thermolaminated doors covered by this page are for internal joinery. Outdoor exposure is outside the intended application

Use a soft damp cloth and, if needed, a mild neutral detergent. Remove cleaner residue and dry moisture. Avoid abrasive pads, melamine sponges, solvents and harsh chemicals.

Yes. Follow appliance and Designerform instructions, including required clearances, ventilation and heat deflectors. Confirm the kitchen design before manufacture.

Designerform states a seven-year limited manufacturer warranty for its thermolaminated doors and panels. Eligibility depends on the current written terms, correct application, installation and care.

Send Joinery Supplies Tasmania your project details, selected profile, colour, finish, dimensions and quantities. The team can then confirm current availability, manufacturing lead time and quotation details.

Laminex FAQs

Which Laminex products are available through Joinery Supplies?

Joinery Supplies currently references Laminex decorative board, laminate, compact laminate and Surround by Laminex wall panels. Product, colour, finish, size and branch availability can change, so confirm the exact item with the Hobart or Launceston team before ordering.

Contact Joinery Supplies to confirm which samples and displays can be viewed at each branch. Laminex also provides an official sample service. A sample should be checked in the project lighting and against adjoining materials before the final selection.

No. Colour, finish, substrate, thickness and sheet-size combinations vary across the range. Check the current product page or National Availability Guide, then confirm supply with Joinery Supplies.

Laminex Laminate (HPL) is a thin decorative surface that is bonded to a suitable substrate. Decorated board is supplied as a finished MDF or particleboard panel with the decorative surface already applied. The correct option depends on the component, edge detail, support and fabrication method.

Use a soft damp cloth and mild household detergent for routine cleaning, then remove residue. Clean spills promptly and avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Always follow the care guide for the exact product, particularly for specialist compact-laminate ranges.

Only products specifically approved for the proposed outdoor exposure should be used. Laminex Compact Laminate – Alfresco is a purpose-specific category, but colour, fixing, edge, support, maintenance and warranty conditions still need to be checked for the exact product and location.

Send Joinery Supplies your plans or measurements, the application, preferred colour and finish, required quantity and any known edge or fabrication details. The team can then confirm the information still needed to price the correct product.

Quantum Porcelain FAQs

Does Quantum Porcelain need sealing?

No. WK states that Quantum Porcelain does not require sealing. Follow the current care instructions for routine cleaning.

Yes. WK lists the material as UV stable and suitable for outdoor cladding and alfresco applications. The complete substrate, fixing and installation system must also be suitable for exterior exposure.

Yes, but WK’s current FAQ specifies 12 mm material for benchtop use. Confirm support, fabrication, cut-outs and edge details against the current technical manuals.

WK lists Quantum Porcelain for use near heat and flame, including fireplace surrounds and BBQ areas. Follow the appliance, fireplace and installation requirements, and use a trivet under hot cookware.

No. It is scratch resistant, not scratch proof. Use cutting boards and avoid dragging abrasive objects across the surface.

WK identifies Viola, Trevi Light, Laurente, Aurora Gold, Taj Royale, Super Light, Statuario, Nuovo Bianco Classic, Arabescato Corchia, Milano Grey and limited Arabella Corchia as bookmatch options in current sources. Confirm sheet pairing and availability before ordering.

No. Quantum Porcelain must not be confused with Quantum Zero. WK’s current safety data sheet records crystalline silica, so fabrication requires professional wet-processing and dust controls.

WK states a ten-year manufacturer’s warranty. Refer to the current written warranty and registration requirements for scope, exclusions and eligibility.

Contact Joinery Supplies Tasmania with the colour, application, approximate dimensions and project location. The team can confirm current availability, sample options and quotation requirements.

Quantum Zero Benchtops FAQs

What is Quantum Zero?

Quantum Zero is a recycled surface from WK Stone, developed for interior applications including kitchen benchtops, vanities, splashbacks, laundries, furniture, office fit outs and commercial counters.

WK Stone promotes Quantum Zero as a crystalline silica free recycled surface. Its technical documentation states Quantum Zero contains less than 1% crystalline silica. Fabrication still requires proper safety controls, including wet tools and no uncontrolled dry cutting.

Yes. Quantum Zero is designed for kitchen benchtops, islands, splashbacks and other interior surfaces. It is also suitable for bathroom, laundry and commercial applications.

WK Stone lists Quantum Zero slab dimensions as 3210 x 1610 mm, with a 20 mm thickness.

WK Stone’s care and maintenance guide states Quantum Zero is virtually nonporous and does not require sealing or polishing to maintain its finish.
