In the cabinetry, joinery and furniture industries, edge band, edge tape, edging or edge strip refers to a narrow strip of veneer or plastic placed around the edges of a panel or sheet.
Manufacturers use edging (or ‘edge band’) to cover the exposed edges of raw panel substrates such as MDF or particleboard.
When decorative surfaces such as timber veneers and laminates are pressed onto the flat surface of raw sheets, the edges are left exposed. That’s where edge tapes are needed
Edge Tape or edging covers the raw substrate edge in-between the decorative surface. The benefits are

Applied using Laser and Air Force edgebanding machines, Laminex InvisiEdgeTM ABS Edging is an edgeband with a pre-applied functional layer that replaces the traditional glue used to apply edgeband, allowing for a much superior and seamless joint between the edgeband and the board.

Color matched Edge Band rolls are available for StyleLite TruGloss and TruMatte Panel products.
Standard Edge Band – Color-matched Standard Edge Band is pre-primed ready for installation using EVA hot melt or PUR edge banding machinery.
Fusion Heat Activated Edge Band – Fusion Edge Band allows a seamless color matched functional layer to bond to the board using hot air or laser equipped machinery. Fusion Edge Band is available in selected colors only.
